V-TOL Products

V-TOL products are proven and in some cases battle tested. Representing advanced capabilities and excellent value, many are available for commercial sector applications.

V-TOL offers "Through Life Support" options covering technical support, systems maintenance, basic and advanced training, compliance and risk management, insurance, applications research and development of UAV Standard Operating Procedures.

UAV and Specialist Training

To effectively employ the capabilities of V-TOL products, it is critical for customers to be fully trained. Initial training includes regulatory compliance, basic aeronautical theory, UAV type, maintenance, flight and payload operations.

To ensure customers have the optimal outcome, V-TOL has established a 40km˛ UAV Flight Area of Operations (FAO) 10km Northwest of RAAF Base Amberley, Australia's largest Air Force Base, and only 40 minutes drive from the city of Brisbane.

With the ability to operate within military and civilian controlled airspace, the V-TOL FAO provides the opportunity to train students in unmanned operations within manned airspace to CASA 101 and military requirements. The V-TOL primary Launch and Recovery Facility (LRF) within the FAO includes a grass airfield and hardstand facilities.

V-TOL provides options and programs for advanced and continuation flight, and payload training. Advanced exercises can be formulated to meet a customer's operational needs.

Regulatory Compliance

To operate safely and legally, organisations are required to operate within the rules of the regulator(s). V-TOL will advise and assist customers in navigating the required pathway to ensure on-going compliance.

V-TOL is the proud sponsor of Unmanned Aircraft Technology Applications Research (UATAR™ www.uatar.com) Working Group 27 (WG-27). WG-27 has been established to address current and future issues surrounding UAV commercial operations in the Australian airspace including, but not limited to risk management, compliance and insurance. Working Group participants include Aviation Australia, Air Services Australia, Boeing Australia, and BAE.

UATAR™ WG-27 is recognized by UVSI (Unmanned Vehicle Systems International) and US FAA sponsored RTCA Special Committee 203 (Small UAV regulations) as Australia's and New-Zealand's UAV industry group representative.

It is the intention and hope of V-TOL that WG-27 be recognized and supported by AUVSI (Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International) resulting in an opportunity to form Australia's premier UAV Association.

Operational Support

From our extensive experience, V-TOL can provide professional consultation services to review, analyze and provide recommendations to meet a customer's operational needs for the intended range of tasks and missions.

From the analysis process, doctrine can be written so that methodology and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will "fit" the chosen technology for the intended missions. Through a continuous 360 degree review process involving our technology partners, company members and other end-users, V-TOL customers will benefit from improvements in technology and operational procedures.
