Peter Hill - Director Project Development

Peter has an extensive background in aviation, UAV and general aircraft operations. After joining the Australian Army, Peter was assigned to Aviation supporting S70A-9 Black Hawk operations with the Townsville based Rapid Deployment Force and Special Forces units. His operational service has included a deployment to East Timor with the 5th Aviation Battle Group and participation in overseas exercises with US forces.
His awards include the Australian Active Service Medal, International Force East Timor Campaign Medal, and an Australian Day Commendation for Bravery for rescuing a crashed pilot. In 1996 Peter was awarded 'Soldier of the Year' while serving with the 5th Aviation Regiment performing national security tasks.
After leaving the Army Peter established a business involved with unmanned robotic aircraft and has since acted as a consultant for various Aerospace companies in this field. He is a keen advocate for the establishment of a viable Australian unmanned aircraft industry and brings to V-TOL Aerospace a wide range of skills and knowledge on Free Flight Rotorcraft systems and operations.
