V-TOL Aerospace is a customer and industry focused organization.
V-TOL Aerospace has been structured to create a collection of capabilities to best focus its human capital across its operations, support, education, research and development programs. V-TOL represents a unique pool of industry knowledge and experience schooled in teamwork to achieve rapid cost-effective outcomes. Many of our key personnel have been involved in the aviation industry and unmanned aircraft (UA) projects since the early 1990s, including trials of fixed wing military and rotary commercial systems. Experienced, qualified and dedicated people in conjunction with strong global technology partnerships are V-TOL's competitive advantage.
The V-TOL group also incorporates the Australian Unmanned Systems Academy Pty Ltd (AUSA) which was established with The University of Queensland, as its tertiary education partner and the world’s longest manned aircraft training organization, the Royal Queensland Aero Club trading as the Airline Academy of Australia as its ab inito pilot training partner to help seed an industry by offering education and training packages for the organization and individual. V-TOL has taken the approach that unmanned aircraft technologies must meet, and if possible exceed, the safety standards of the manned aviation industry. Many of our teaching, technical and engineering staff have a solid background in manned aviation to underwrite this desired outcome.

To understand and fully support customer requirements and industry needs, V-TOL has established UATAR - Unmanned Autonomous Technologies Applications Research Pty Ltd (UATAR). UATAR has been created and designed to provide a project based research to commercialization corporate platform enabling stakeholders a low-risk low-cost pathway to rapidly review unmanned technology as it may apply to specific commercial applications and regulations. The UATAR process enables stakeholders and potential end-users high visibility of the available technologies to ensure the appropriate technology "fit" is made prior to committing to expensive tailored solutions. Should a project succeed in creating new IP this will be commercialized offering a long-term return on investment to project stakeholders. UATAR offers a forum to concentrate a diverse balance of human experience specialized in solving a particular problem or business need.
In conjunction with our global technology partners, the V-TOL group can deliver and support the latest available commercial solutions in airborne robotics, network centric data-links and specialist payloads to deliver the optimal combination of capability and value for money. V-TOL is geared to craft and develop doctrine and the operating procedures required to comply and deliver an effective operational outcome.
